We’ve added four new data connections to ASK BOSCO®: LinkedIn Ads, LinkedIn Organic, Pinterest Ads and TikTok Ads.
What do the new data connections do?
These new connectors bring your LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok performance into ASK BOSCO®, next to the rest of your marketing and ecommerce data. Connect your platforms in one click, there’s no coding required.
- LinkedIn Ads: This includes spend, conversions, leads, engagement and creative performance by account, campaign, ad set and ad, every day.
- LinkedIn Organic: Daily Page performance, lifetime results for every post, and a breakdown of who follows and views your Page.
- Pinterest Ads: This is all your Pinterest spend, checkouts and ROAS, including catalog sales campaigns, plus ad-level creative performance.
- TikTok Ads: Including spend, purchases, leads, app and TikTok Shop sales, and video engagement by campaign, ad group and ad.
How to connect LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok to ASK BOSCO®
- Open the Connections tab and go to the Connector Library.
- Click Connect on the LinkedIn Ads, LinkedIn Organic, Pinterest Ads or TikTok Ads tile.
- Log in to the platform and authorize ASK BOSCO® to access your data.
- Choose the account or accounts to connect.
- Hit Connect. That’s it.
A few platform specifics:
- LinkedIn: Enter the start of your financial calendar in the Start date field before you connect.
- Pinterest: Authorize access by clicking Give Access.
- TikTok: Log in with your TikTok for Business account and tick all four permissions: Ad account Management, Ads management, Reporting and Creative Management.
What you can do with the new connections
- See paid and organic LinkedIn together. Put ad spend, leads and conversions next to Page views, follower growth and post engagement.
- Find your best LinkedIn content. Every post comes with lifetime reach, impressions, clicks, likes, comments and shares, plus its content type, so you can see whether video, documents or text work hardest.
- Know who follows you. Break your LinkedIn followers and Page views down by seniority, industry, job function, company size and country.
- Get your full Pinterest ROAS. The Ad Group view includes catalog sales campaigns, so your ROAS covers every dollar you spend. Switch to the Ad view to compare ads, Pins and creative types.
- Count TikTok sales properly. Website purchases, app purchases and TikTok Shop purchases stay separate, so nothing gets double counted.
- Measure video and document creative. Track how far people watch on LinkedIn and TikTok, at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, and how far they read LinkedIn document ads.
- Split brand from non-brand. LinkedIn Ads ad sets are tagged Brand or Non-Brand.
- Skip the formulas. CTR, CPC, CPM, conversion rate, ROAS and cost per purchase come ready-made for Pinterest and TikTok, worked out from totals so they stay accurate at any level.
How can I make use of the new connections?
- Ecommerce and DTC brands. See Pinterest and TikTok ROAS in the same view as the rest of your channels, and which creative drives checkouts and purchases.
- B2B and lead gen teams. Track LinkedIn Lead Gen Form submissions and spend alongside the organic Page growth that warms those leads up.
- Agency account teams. Report on clients’ LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok performance without exporting from each platform by hand.
Tip: pick the right number for the question. For TikTok, use Purchases for conversions, not Optimization Event Conversions, which mixes event types across ad groups. For Pinterest, look at one attribution window at a time.
Frequently asked questions
- Why do my recent Pinterest checkouts keep changing? Pinterest dates checkouts to the day of the ad interaction, so the last 30 days keep filling in. For recent periods, ASK BOSCO® dates checkouts on the day they happened instead.
- Can I add Pinterest attribution windows together? No. Each window counts the same checkouts a different way. ASK BOSCO® uses Pinterest’s default of 30-day click, 1-day view.
- What are earned metrics on Pinterest? Impressions, clicks and engagements on saved copies of your promoted Pins. They aren’t billed and are shown separately from paid figures.
- Are TikTok Purchases, App Purchases and TikTok Shop Purchases combined? No. They’re separate events and are never added together. ROAS uses website purchases only.
- What time zone are dates in? LinkedIn reports in UTC. TikTok follows each advertiser account’s own time zone.
- Why do I see ‘Removed campaign’ or ‘(not set)’? These are items the platform no longer lists or hasn’t named yet. The spend is real and stays in your totals.
- Where can I see every metric? Each connection has a full guide in the Knowledge Hub: LinkedIn Ads, LinkedIn Organic, Pinterest and TikTok.
