Google Ads API to require multi-factor authentication
Google is tightening security across its ads ecosystem. Requiring multi-factor authentication (MFA) for API users, a move that could impact how developers and advertisers access and manage accounts.
Google will begin rolling out mandatory MFA for the Google Ads API starting April 21. With full enforcement expected over the following weeks. The update applies to users generating new OAuth 2.0 refresh tokens through standard authentication workflows.

GPT-Rosalind is a large language model developed by OpenAI specifically trained on common biology workflows. It is able to access major public databases of biological information. The model can suggest likely biological pathways and potential drug targets. It has been tuned to be more skeptical so it can tell users when something is a bad drug target. Access to the model is limited to selected US-based entities via OpenAI’s trusted access deployment structure.

Apple’s Revamped Siri Interface in iOS 27 Is Hidden in WWDC Teaser
Apple’s WWDC 2026 teaser provided a glimpse of the revamped Siri interface that will be part of iOS 27. The teaser hints at a complete overhaul of Siri that includes previously announced features along with several additional enhancements. The enhanced Siri will be able to handle multiple commands within a single query and support third-party AI agents. The design is still being tested within the company. The Siri announcement will be a central part of the announcements at the upcoming WWDC.

Meta targets 20 May for 8,000 layoffs as it redirects billions toward AI infrastructure
Meta plans to cut approximately 10% of its workforce starting on May 20. The layoffs will hit teams across Reality Labs, the Facebook social division, recruiting, sales, and global operations. The restructure is being driven by a reallocation toward AI infrastructure spending. Teams will be reorganized into AI-focused ‘pods’ under Superintelligence Labs.
