The BOSCO™ team are working on their performance by taking part in group and individual well-being sessions with Tougher Minds, an award-winning psychology consultancy.
Who are Tougher Minds?
Tougher Minds use simple, practical programmes and services to empower individuals and teams to fulfil their potential by creating better, more positive habits. Founded by Dr Jon Finn, who has worked in the fields of well-being and transformational leadership for almost 20 years.
Dr Jon and his team have over 100 years of experience between them and use the latest insights from neuroscience, behavioural science and psychology to create and deliver coaching workshops and programmes.
How Tougher Minds and BOSCO™ are working together?
The BOSCO™ team take part in biweekly group sessions over Zoom, as Dr Jon runs through how the brain works and why we get stuck in bad habits that can prevent us from being our best.
A lot of Dr Jon’s session focuses on the A.P.E (alive, perceived, energy) Brain, which is our brain’s way of coping with everyday situations. This can make it difficult for us to be healthy, happy and performing at our best, as our core human instincts found in the A.P.E. brain focus on short-term gratification.
He aims to help the team challenge the A.P.E Brain and instead, re-focus our minds on creating new habits. As well as group sessions, we are all encouraged to take part in a 1 to 1 consultation with Dr Jon, to explore how he can help us individually.
What does our team think of the training?
Our Lead Data Scientist Michael Thompson shares his thoughts on the training: “I’m finding the training really helpful; I am learning more about myself and how to make small changes to create new habits. I have been working on this for the last three weeks, and by observing what I do each day is helping me work on the areas I want to improve on. It’s interesting that I have different habits during the week compared to the weekend and I’m now making changes to make these habits more aligned.
Each week I’ve created a F.A.M Story to focus on what I want to achieve this week, this along with the 3-1 reflection that I do daily (three positive things I have done today and one area to improve on tomorrow), is helping me achieve more within the week and also feeling good about it at the same time.”
I also enjoy the frameworks that Jon has created to manage your energy, stress, and performance levels. I’m grateful to be on the journey of improving myself with Tougher Minds.”
We’re always on the lookout for bright and ambitious people who are interested in joining our team. If you would like to know more, get in touch by sending us an email to team@askbosco.io
